The K5DS-SP splitter and the K5DS-RC receiver are high performance networking devices allowing to build DSNet networks when used with the K5DS-BR broadcasters.
K5DS-SP is useful in large configurations. It amplifies, restores, and forwards to 8 output ports, the audio, video, and data streams received from the input port. The purpose of K5DS-SP is to increase the number of monitors connected to the broadcaster. With one tier of splitters, the number of display panels connected to a single K5DS-BR can increase from 160 to 1024, and with two tiers of splitters it can pass to 6144. K5DS-SP also retransmits all data received from the monitors to the broadcaster.

K5DS-RC is a long haul 300m receiver able to connect two monitors. Thanks to their chaining port, the receivers can be wired in series. The two RS232 ports can exchange bidirectional data with the broadcaster at data rates up to 115200 bps.
For each monitor you can tune the following settings in a few mouse clicks:
- Cable compensation
- Cable RGB deskew
- Video contrast
- Video brightness
- Audio volume
- Audio balance
- RS232 settings
- Unidirectional or bidirectional RS232
The video and audio settings can be easily set in a few seconds looking at the display panels and moving the sliders of DSNet Management until the result is perfect. All settings are digital and saved into EEPROMs.
If this is a large installation, and if the display panels are far from an Ethernet access, we recommend you run DSNet Management on a laptop featuring a wireless interface or 3G key. By this way you can access to the broadcaster Management Server over the local network or over the Internet.
